VGA over CAT5
The best solution for sending VGA type signals over long distances (tens of metres) is to use special convertors at each end of the cable to send the signal over CAT5 cable. The cable is thin, easy to route and less prone to interference. The distance that can be achieved depends on the resolution being used and the quality of the convertors. Note that for higher resolutions and/or longer cable runs a special cable type may be required.
These convertors are available both free-standing and as UK-style wall plates.
