DVI and HDMI over CAT5 and CAT6
Cheaper products claiming to extend DVI or HDMI signals over CAT5 cable should be avoided as they give poor results. There is a new generation of technology available which work well over CAT5, but these are more expensive than the current generation of convertors which give good results over CAT6a cable up to about 70m.
