Where there is high ambient light a conventional matt white screen does not give a good enough image. In such situations we can offer a number of alternative screen types:
Supernova is a proprietary screen material that is very good at rejecting ambient light, resulting in an image that has far better contrast than a conventional screen. It gives an improvement in most situations, and for rooms with high ambient light it can provide an excellent quality image that might be impossible with other screen materials. For high performance applications it can be extremely economical as it can provide a high image contrast with a projector significantly smaller than would have otherwise been required.
Rear projection offers better image contrast than a standard screen. Plus, the installation looks neater as the projector is located out of sight behind the screen.
High contrast screens provide a deeper black than a white screen, and thus a better contrast, at the expense of requiring a larger projector. As projectors are comparatively cheap these days, so long as the screen is not very large this can be an economical means of obtaining an improved image quality.
When appearance is important we offer discreet solutions, such as projectors concealed within lifts and screens which retract into the ceiling giving a flush finish. Click play on the video to see a working example.
