Churchfield Primary School
Flexible Audio-Visual Installation
We installed sound, lighting and video systems for this new build primary school located in Somerset. Loudspeakers, lanterns and hardware were all finished in white to provide a pleasant appearance.
In fitting out the main school hall we used a dual HD projection system allowing for simultaneous images on both east and west walls. Sound was covered by the use of full-range Apart loudspeakers. Lighting bars fitted with 12 lanterns were installed and are controlled with an easy to use and compact lighting desk. Wall plates at various locations allow additional sources such as laptops to be used as and when required.
A moveable rack containing an audio mixer and DVD player was purpose built. It uses a multi-pin connector which means the whole unit can be plugged in and out easily and moved to various locations. The mixer also allows control of additional high quality Sennheiser radio microphone input signals which were housed in a nearby wall rack along with video switching capability and audio amplifiers.
Along with this we supplied and fitted 15 Soundfield classroom sound reinforcement systems to aid the intelligibility of teachers' speech. Once we had commissioned the system we then spent a day with the teachers in training them on how to use their eagerly awaited new system!
